Stall Holder Information for St Andrews Market
Opening Hours:
The market operates from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm every Saturday, except on Total Fire Ban days. It is your responsibility to check CFA announcements to confirm if a Total Fire Ban is in place for the Central District.
How to Book a Stall:
- Arrival: Park on the street outside the market grounds before 7:45 am on Saturday morning.
- Sign In: Walk to the St Andrews Hall, where a sign-up sheet will be available outside from 7:30 am to 7:45 am.
- Stall Allocation: Stall allocation occurs between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. Do not enter the market or drive your vehicle in until a committee member assigns you a stall.
- Cost: $25 cash (correct amount required). If you arrive after 8:00 am, the fee increases to $30.
Note: You must have paid, received a receipt, and been allocated a site before bringing your vehicle into the market or unloading your items. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the market.
Will You Get a Stall?
Flexible stallholders who can adapt their setup are typically allocated a site. Regular attendance throughout the year, especially outside the busy November/December season, is encouraged to familiarize yourself with the market.

Items to Bring:
- Canopy (marquees must be weighted)
- Tables and chairs
- Weights for your canopy (steel weights are recommended, as the ground is clay-like and pegs may not be sufficient).
No items, including tables or chairs, are available for hire at the market.
Market Rules & Regulations:
- Vehicles: Vehicles are not permitted in the market between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Secure your stall site first before unloading.
- Canopies: All canopies must be securely weighted and side by side with no gaps.
- Restricted Items:
- Latex and Mylar balloons
- Flyers (without committee consent)
- Multi-level marketing or party plan items
- Counterfeit or unlicensed products
- Second-hand electrical goods
- Animals or livestock (council regulated)
Political stalls are not accepted for the sake of market harmony.
- Leaving Early: If you need to leave before 2:00 pm, you may only do so by carrying your items to your vehicle. Driving into the market is not permitted until 2:00 pm.
Food and Consumable Products:
There are limited vacancies for takeaway food and fresh produce stalls. These must be approved in writing by the St Andrews Market Committee. Please send photos and descriptions of your stall and products for review.
You must have a FoodTrader permit and written committee approval to sell:
- Takeaway food
- Fresh produce
The local council enforces FoodTrader permits for all food stalls.
General Market Day Information:
- After receiving your receipt, wait near the hall (on the right side) for a volunteer to help you find a site.
- Place your receipt under a rock at your selected site to reserve it.
- Ensure that your listed items match what you’re selling. Misrepresentation may result in removal from the market.
- Stall boundaries must be respected (e.g., 3×3 meters), and A-frames must stay within the stall to avoid obstructing walkways.
- Spruiking is prohibited; only engage with customers who approach your stall.
Extreme Weather & Traffic Management:
- Please refer to CFA and weather warnings during high-risk times.
- Cars must give way to those exiting the market.
- Quickly unload your car and remove it from the market area. Set up your stall only after your vehicle is out.
- At the end of the day, only fully packed stalls can enter the market at 2:00 pm. Those packing directly into vehicles must wait until 2:30 pm to enter.
Twilight Market:
A Christmas Twilight Market is held on one weekday in December by invitation only.
